The company’s extensive storage space allows them to stock hundreds of carpet and vinyl remnants, as well as accommodating bulk-buy purchases when golden opportunities arise.
Chris explained: “We always keep a close eye on the market and look out for the best buys for customers. We are an independent business but still have the ability to react to market conditions and pass on savings to customers. Having a large warehouse means we’re able to buy in bulk and snap up great deals.
“Everything we source is high quality. We have a lot of repeat customers who trust us to only sell good products at value prices.”
Most independent carpet retailers buy their stock from a wholesaler, but Country Carpets’ scale, experience and reputation in the trade means some major manufacturers are happy to deal with them direct.
“Buying direct means we can source high quality carpets at a better price,” Chris added. “We can also order a variety of widths that might not be available online, which reduces wastage and therefore the overall cost for the customer.”

of carpets to view in our showroom, from family-friendly man-made materials that can withstand years of wear and tear, come in every colour under the sun, and are bleach cleanable (so there’s no need to worry about sticky little fingers or messy pets); to premium heritage wool blends that will create a wonderfully warm feel underfoot. We understand that affordability and practicality might be a priority for some customers, whereas others may be seeking a touch of long-lasting luxury.
Underlay should not be underestimated
– sometimes people wish to cut corners and either ignore it altogether or choose the cheapest they can find. It’s so important to give your new carpet the underlay it deserves as it’s essential to ensure the carpet does its job well. Again, we’re always on hand to advise on which underlay is most suited to your carpet of choice.
